Update Aadhaar Card Details via Online
You can easily change your details on Aadhaar card via visiting the online portal of UIDAI. Just follow the steps carefully in order to not to make any mistakes.- Visit www.uidai.gov.in. and under the heading ‘Aadhaar Update’, click on ‘Aadhaar Update Online’. Or use this direct link to update/correct any details on Aadhaar card, www.ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/update.
- Here, you need to provide your valid Aadhaar card number and fill in the required text verification. Click on ‘Send OTP’ once you have provided the details.
- UIDAI will sent an OTP to your registered number. Enter this OTP and provide the captcha code and press ‘Submit’.
- Now, you have to select the field that you need to change. You can choose either of the following.
- Name
- Gender
- DOB
- Address
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Once the step 4 is completed, you need to provide proof of the changed detail in order to complete the process.
- At the end, a URN or Update Request Number will get generated which you can use in order to track your Aadhaar card update process.
- Well, the process is completed so you need to download and print the receipt containing the URN. Once, the details has been updated, you can download the updated version and get it printed.

How to Update Aadhaar Card Details by Visiting an Enrolment Centre
If anyone face problems regarding visiting the online portal than one can surely visit the enrolment centre to update his/her Aadhaar card details. The process is simple and doesn’t require much hard work other than visiting the enrolment centre itself. Follow the steps mentioned below.- Once you visit the the Aadhaar enrolment centre ask for an Aadhaar correction form and fill it with all the necessary information. Here, you need to provide the details that you want to correct and not the details that are already in there your Aadhaar card.
- Add the proofs for the details you have changed.
- Now, you need to submit the form along with the proof document.
- You will charged Rs 25 for your visit to Enrolment centre. Every such change will charge you Rs 25.
Update Aadhaar Card details via Post

- Fill in all the required details which you desperately want to change in your Aadhaar card.
- Get the scan copy of the document that proofs the change made in the Aadhaar card.

Things to Keep in Mind While Going for Aadhaar Card Update
An individual should make sure that he/she keeps these details in mind while they update their Aadhaar card.- If the registered mobile number is not with you then must go for the offline method.
- All the details provided for correction should be in capital letters.
- The name of the holder should be written in full and no designation or salutation be made.
- The card holder must be present at the registered address to which the Aadhaar card will be sent in order to receive it.
- The photocopy of the documents should be attested by the sender himself.
- Only the necessary documents for proof should be sent otherwise it won
